The poker affiliates are the ones who endorse the online poker rooms to people ad bring them there to play. It will not be possible to make much money if there are no poker affiliates because there will be just few players, if there will be. This is the reason why they offer money to the affiliates-to-be. This will serve as an incentive to them so that they will be very much willing to devote their time in endorsing poker rooms to people.
There is an option for an affiliate to choose between MGR, the rake that is generated by players, and CPA, lump-sum money for each real money player that they bring to the room. The normal offer of MGR rates between 25% and 40%. It still depends upon the room they introduce. On the other hand, the CPA or lump sum deal varies too per room. $100 is their standard rate. It depends upon the affiliates which deal to choose.
Affiliates should be just regular people so that they could send people to online poker rooms. Not everyone has to be recruited. People can just visit the poker website and register as an affiliate. Just let your invites play for real money and then you will earn. There is also a large possibility of affiliating online aside from setting up a poker website and bringing visitors to poker rooms.
The poker rooms will know which player you are bringing to them because you will be given special affiliate links that you can put on your website. So they can track back the sender of the player by using that link that they have given you. Every time a player plays for real money and signs up beforehand, the poker room will know who they will pay after.
This is just an easy way of making money.
